Milestone: a license

My life just reached another milestone. I just gained the ability to drive; legally as on 11th July 2008

I mean, its about time. heh. Finally got my driving license, after 4 attempts.

No doubt, I admit that I am slow in learning, and I take a longer time to learn, but nevertheless, I still made it. Thank God for everything. Thank you mom for sponsoring me to learn driving. Thank All those who prayed for me, especially, Sharon, Uncle Patrick, Uncle KeenMun, Auntie SooMei, Gregory, MeeLin, Auntie Florence, Cousin Daniel, and many more.

Although i hinted a-lot, but my parents showed no enthusiasm in buying me a car anytime soon. ha ha.

After passing the test, my ex-classmate + good friend, Tan Tien Siang brought me to Botak Jones @ Amk to have lunch. I ate Fish and Chips while he ate the Cajun Chicken. We ordered an extra cheese fries. It was delicious. Maybe its because, I passed, or maybe its because, I didn't paid a single cent, cos lunch was on him. =)

I won something. *excited*

I wrote to the editor of GameAxis Unwired for the "letter of the Month" and I can't believe it, my letter actually got published.

So what did I won? I won a Sony PS3 Game, but unfortunately, I do not have a Sony PS3 Game Console. So what am i going to do with that game? maybe i'll just sell it online. . . *disappointed*

"两个人上车，为什么三个人会下车呢？"asks my dad.

Dad was just sharing that a Malay couple; pregnant lady and her husband got into his taxi on Sunday 18Th May 2008, then directed him to drive to Singapore General Hospital (SGH) as the wife was about to be in labour. On the way, the lady gave birth in the taxi as the baby's legs popped out already, and in the next few moments, the body, then the head followed.

The lady's husband was frantic, knowing not what to do, He kept asking my dad what to do. My dad told him to take off his shirt to wrap the baby.

The baby was crying and the newborn's father hurried my dad to go to SGH as soon as possible. But due to the distance of SGH, my dad told him, that He will drive to KK hospital instead.

As soon as they arrived KK Hospital, my dad got off the taxi and went to ask nurses to come to attend to the newborn child; cut the umbilical cord and stuff.

After they left the car, my dad drove off. Ever thought what would be on the birth certificate for the blank: Place of Birth? Maybe my dad's taxi.

Anyway, my dad picked up the same couple again on 19Th May 2008, without realizing it's the same couple He drove and witness the birth of their new born, But the newborn's Father recognized my dad immediately and Thanked my dad, gave my dad some money (taxi fare, cos they forgot to pay the other day).

BTW, the lady told my dad its her 5th child thus far. Amazing isn't it? Witnessing birth in a taxi and meeting the couple again? Just like the movies.

人生就是八个字：生老病死，喜怒哀乐！but whether good or bad; Thank God.

Mourn-days

China has begun three days of mourning for victims of the Si Chuan earthquake, which has left more than 70,000 people dead, buried under rubble or missing.

Public Holiday, It's Vesak Day. While many Buddhist devotees pay homage to Buddha, One week had passed since the Earthquake in China. Thank God, my parents were back; safe and sound since 15Th May 2008, 6.30am. They did not visit SiChuan nor ChengDu.

As reported on the news, more than 71,000 people are dead, buried or missing following last Monday's 7.9 magnitude quake, China's state media say. More than 220,000 people were injured. Tears fills my eyes every time i see news reports on China's earthquake.

In Chengdu, the provincial capital, people held hands to observe a three-minute silence in honor of the victims.

Its Mourn-day Monday, at China. While the Chinese Government declares a 3 day mourning period for the whole of China, the whole Chinese state came to a halt at 1428 local time (0628 GMT), people across the country fell silent for three minutes as air-raid sirens and car horns wailed. I was simply touched when i saw these images on the news and tears started to trickle down.

Funny that i should feel this way. I thought I should have been numb to this kind of feeling since i failed my Driving for the 3rd consecutive time already. I am feeling down, disappointed in myself and depressed, but not to the extent of crying. I just hate myself and I feel like a looser; who can't even pass a simple driving test.

The fact that I didn't attend the warm-up revision was all my fault. I should have checked the date and time of the test, again and again to remind myself. I was so confident of myself, but the usual fear still came when the driving tester came into the car. My legs started to shiver and my deep breathing intensified. The stress was slowly overcame, while at the expense of loosing lots of points in the circuit. Practically did the same mistakes as yesterday's revision. Why am i so dumb. When will I pass. . . even my parents are disappointed in me.

But nevertheless, I want to Thank God for everything. Spent another $500+ for the subsquent test which is 9th May 2008 and more revisions every Saturday.

I was supposed to go meet shazzy this evening, but i canceled it. I don't have the mood to go out. especially after this. . . *hope you understand*

OK, its official, that i will be working in HWZ as an intern Networking administrator under the HWZ department - MIS for 6months starting Feb 18th. the HR told me to report to choon kiat. *Thank God*

my Micro Controller Exam ended today. It was pretty easy in the short questions but very tought in the MCQ parts. Bah!~ 1 paper down, 3 more to go.

Went to Vivo City Shopping Mall with my classmates, Boonhua, ZhiCheng, and Jiawei. Just walked around. while they shopped till they dropped. ZhiCheng Spent alot of money on apparels ar Nike. Then we split and went home. Boonhua asks me to go swimming tml. still deciding whether to go anot.

with my ITP and internship along the way, i would have less time for band. hmmm. hope i would still have the energy to go back to sch when my attachments start.

2nd Driving Test

Fail again lor. 2nd time liao. abit sian abt it. but shan't Rant abt it. just leave it in God's hand.

After Driving, I went back to school to hand in my Gems (Techniques for Creativity)'s Assignment (scampe r). At Ang Mo Kio MRT, i met AGK otherwise known as Ang Ghee Koon. He was my ITE classmate. He changed alot. xchanged phone numbers and got to know that he is opening a PET shop in Ang Mo Kio. interesting eh?"

Then went to meet my distant cousin Kong Seng, I wanted to watch Body 19, the Thai Horror Flick, but he too chicken to watch. then went to eat at Nippon Mura () @ The cathay's Basement. 99cents for all Sushi. The Sushi kinda make me less emo. then went home.

Haunted Castle

On one hot summer in the southern province of China, there stood a huge castle which was haunted by 3 ghosts. The ghosts who are brothers were named Da Ming, Zhong Yang and Xiao Bai. While they were alive, they lived in this very castle which was their possession.

One day Princess Elizabeth who hails from England came to China and sought a place to stay. She came across the castle and fell in love with the ancient beauty of the Chinese Castle. Thus, she decided make the castle her home. At first, the ghosts were intrigued and were also very confident of scaring Elizabeth away. As the leader, Da Ming decided to use his favorite tactic, poltergeist to scare Elizabeth. However, the third and youngest of the three ghosts, Xiao Bai realised that Elizabeth was a very nice person. It was love at first sight for Xiao Bai, hence he decided to leave her alone and stay in the graveyard.

After Xiao Bai left, Da Ming and Zhong Yang tried in vain to scare Elizabeth away. The two brothers decided to seek help from their good friend, Vinny the vampire who lives in the nearby graveyard to scare the princess away. The vampire was tall, dark and handsome and was well loved by the people in the town folks because not only he did not harm them; he instead helped them to farm tomatoes too. Vinny was a vampire who believed in drinking tomato juice rather than sucking human blood.

Vinny agreed to help Da Ming and Zhong Yang scare Elizabeth on the condition that they do not harm her. Da Ming and Zhong Yang agreed. Meanwhile, Elizabeth made many changes in the castle such as changing the furniture, adding more western touches to the castle and these annoyed the two elder ghost brothers even more. Elizabeth who was oblivious that the castle was haunted was suddenly aware of the presence of the ghost brothers when she ate a magic pill she found in the cellar; she was gifted with special eyesight which allowed her to see the specters living in the castle.

Elizabeth became very paranoid and was fearful when Da Ming, Zhong Yang and Vinny revealed their presence to her. She quickly enlisted the help of the top exorcist, Master Ma Xiao Long to get rid of the ghosts and the vampire. Master Ma is a fat, plump and a lazy Taoist priest who lied to his gullible customers. Upon knowing that Elizabeth was the Princess of England, he decided to come up with a story to cheat Elizabeth of her wealth.

Master Ma explained to Elizabeth that the castle was inhabited with legions of ghosts and they were unclean spirits which existed since the beginning of the world. Elizabeth, knowing that there were only 3 ghosts and a vampire, decided to seek help from her fairy godmother, Mary Jane. Unknown to her, Mary Jane is actually a spider spirit who disguises as a fairy to accumulate good works to become an immortal in heaven. She gave Elizabeth an apple from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil to eat. After eating the apple, Elizabeth saw through immediately that Master Ma was trying to cheat her and became paranoid to humans as well.

Master Ma formed an alliance with Babu Singh, an Indian bomoh, Father Johnny, a Pastor from America and Zhong Kui, a Buddhist monk fron Shaolin Temple to help exorcist the castle. Da Ming, Zhong Yang, Xiao Bai, together with Vinny the vampire defended their castle furiously with all their might. Vinny bit Zhong Kui and the latter came under his control. Da Ming possessed Father Johnny while Zhong Yang possessed Babu Singh. This left Master Ma to defend himself. After 30 rounds of fight with Xiao Bai, Master Ma decided that he could not win; hence he tried to kidnap Elizabeth and blackmail the King of England. As Master Ma was about to leave the castle with Elizabeth, Xiao Bai threw a brick at Master Ma which hit his head, hence killing him in one blow.

Elizabeth was saved by Xiao Bai. She felt indebted to Xiao Bai, and they fell in love. But human and ghost’s love was never meant to be. Elizabeth prayed to her god earnestly and hoped that their love will last. At last, Elizabeth and Xiao Bai’s love touched the heart of god and god sent an Angel of light to cast a spell on Xiao Bai to turn him in to a frog. Only true love’s kiss will turn him into human again. Elizabeth kissed Xiao Bai, and he became human again and they lived happily ever after.

Thank God for today!

Took a cab to the driving center @ 10.30am just to find out my driving lessons starts @ 1.30pm. totally wasted my time.

But Thank God for his kindness and miracles that i can manage to sell off my 1.30pm time slot to someone else, hence i got back my money. Its really wonderful; else i would have wasted $76.

MST is next week. I am so dead. haven't the motivation to study (4 papers); considering that i was lost in most of my lectures. cos the lecturers are either too eccentric or to hard to follow. I need another miracle; to pass my Mid semester tests.

I need some motivation. someone 2 study with me. . .
