"Everybody was kung-fu fighting " goes the song. Shazzy and I caught the show, Kung Fu Panda @ Plaza Singapura, 1615hrs today. We sat at the front 2nd row, B11 & B12. Stretching our neck to the max. The show was fabulous. Kung Fu Panda obviously depicts the protagonist, a panda, named Po whose dad was a goose, goes to pursue his dreams to become a kung fu master on Jade Palace.
The other notable characters in the show are the Monkey, Snake, Tigress, Mantis and Crane. These 5 creatures are created, and based on the 5 different traditional Chinese martial arts fighting style, namely the But even though the panda fighting style ,熊猫拳 was fabricated, it was nevertheless funny and hilarious.
Although there are many actions and cgi effects, Kung Fu panda is not all about fighting. Like another show; Animal farm, where animals can talk like humans, Kung Fu Panda too, had replaced all human lifeforms with talking animals. While everyone (audiences) was laughing at how the panda was fighting with his belly and paws, I was in deep thought, contemplating about the hidden moral values about the show.
I think the show has many moral stories, i.e. Panda’s never say die attitude, panda's trust and have confidence in ourselves. No matter what people say, always have the right learning attitude and think positive. While Panda’s master saw what motivated panda; food, I think we also need to find out what can motivate ourselves and use it to motivate ourselves, and work towards our goal.
Well, last but not least, the rating: the kids love it, Shazzy likes it, and I like it too, 4 stars out of 5. Good Show. "TWO THUMBS UP" =)
Memorable quote from the movie
Tai Lung (Antagonist): What are you going to do, sit on me?
Po (Protagonist):Don't tempt me.
