Worst day yet!

Reached Bugis and went to The Bencoolen building to look for the Job agency. After many attempts to look for the place, I almost gave up until I saw the building’s security guard. He told me to go round the parameter of the building to look for the entry to the 2nd floor. I followed his advice and came to the address I found on the internet yesterday night. #02-11, but the shop name wasn’t the agency. It was a slimming center instead.

Immediately called the agency to clarify the address and the agent gave me their address at Midpoint Plaza, stating that the place was at Middle Street. But unfortunately I do not know the place well and decided to sms shaz to help me with locating the place using her PC. After some time, I decided to ask around and approached another security guard at Fu Lu Shou building. He directed me to the place.

The interview was a breeze, but the working environment is a female working environment. The agent told me she’ll call me if I am short-listed. Bought a copy of the Straits Times, another job caught my eyes.

The job was Part-time PC technician. The employer had funny accent and I had difficulty listening the exact location. He told me it was near Aljunied MRT. Hence from Bugis, I took the MRT to Aljunied. Then I called the place again saying I dunno where is the place but I am at Aljunied MRT station. He told me to take bus 62, but when I asked him how many stops to alight, he replied he doesn’t know. He said that his building is at Advance building. Puzzled, I msg-ed shaz to help me locate where is burn street. Unfortunately she doesn’t have access as she is in the canteen.

I followed the advice from the employer and went to take bus 62. I told the bus driver to tell me to alight at either burn street or Advance industrial building, but the driver replied that he doesn’t know either of these places. From the bus guide, I found AdWin Industrial Building instead then at the moment, I think I heard wrongly due to the employer’s funny accent. After alighting at Adwin industrial building, I looked everywhere for that building, but to my horror, that building was no where to be found.

At the moment I decided that I would have to give that interview a pass. But most importantly I was LOST. Lost in Singapore. Lost in Paya Leba Industrial park. I walked back to the bus stop and look at the bus numbers. All unfamiliar bus numbers. I haven’t taken any of these buses before. 3 buses came and went. Decided to hop on the next bus to get my butt out of that horrid place. Just then bus 70 came. Guess what, It goes to Ang Mo Kio. Thank God!

At Ang Mo Kio, I went to OCBC bank’s ATM to withdraw some money. I trusted that device and hence did not count the cash. I proceeded to POSB bank to deposit the cash I had. To my surprise, the queue was damn long. Then decided to use the Cash-in ATM to deposit the cash instead. The machine counted and prompted me that there was $50 less. I searched my bag, where’s the missing $50??? Looked everywhere frantically but its no where to be found. No choice but to deposit the remaining money.

I came to a conclusion, that either the machines of either banks are faulty or I dropped $50. I thought the former was more accurate because I couldn’t have dropped money as after I took the money from the ATM, I immediately put them into my bag, velcro-ed and safe. I really suspect that either the machine at OCBC dispenced the wrong amount or the machine at POSB counted the wrong amount. But i did not make a fuss out of it on the spot cos i didn't know who to complain to (at a loss)... Feeling sad and depressed, I had no appetite. But still went to the food court to have lunch, eat for the sake of eatting.

After lunch I went to take a bus to SSDC (Singapore Safety Driving Center) to take some Theory test practice. But after waiting for more then 1 hour, the slots for the computers were full. Hence I decided to go home to revise for tomorrow’s Theory Test.

Just then it rained. Then I remembered that the laundry my mom sunned this morning was still hanging outside. Took at cab home, but too late all drenched. using the washing machine to rise and spin dry the clothings now while bloging at the mean time... going to get scoldings from my mom...

What a bad day… God Help Me…
